CSR Cares Creates Hope for NorCal Wildfire Victims

CSR Cares – Hope for NorCal

SAN JOSE, CA November 6, 2017 --- Community is one of CSR Real Estate Services’ (CSR) primary focal points. In early October, 2017, wild fires left northern parts of California (Sonoma, Napa, Santa Rosa and Solano counties) deeply scarred after burning more than 160,000 acres or 250 sq miles, leaving thousands of people homeless, business owners out of luck all while claiming 41 lives. While situations like these can never fully be anticipated or prepared for, CSR Real Estate Services (both San Jose and Roseville branches) sprang into action immediately.

Acting as a donation hub, both CSR branches (San Jose and Roseville) opened their doors even more so to the community in accepting donations that will go directly to those in need, not fed through a larger organization.  Over the course of 10 days, CSR successfully gathered two car loads and a large moving truck load of donations to be distributed to families in need. From food, water, clothes, shoes, new brushes, toys for children, gift cards, toiletry essentials, tents, sleeping bags, pet food, bedding and more, CSR sincerely thanks the Bay Area for coming together and truly making a difference.

As if the donations were not fantastic enough, CSR Cares Foundation took things one step further in hosting an impromptu event, benefiting those in need. On October 26th, 2017 CSR Cares joined forces with several business owners, athletes, radio stations, service providers, musicians, artists, community members and more to make this event truly one of a kind. “We just feel like we needed to do something more and we were elated to do so”, explained Jennifer Murdix, CSR Real Estate Services Director of Marketing.

The results at the conclusion of the evening were astounding. More than $4,600 were donated directly to those in need – that, in addition to all of the inner-office and community donations shipped up north earlier in the week.

A special “thank you” to all of those who have donated their time and services to those in need; You really made a difference in so many lives: Morgan Creek Golf Club, The Sacramento Fire Department, Suddath Relocation Services, 101.9 The Wolf, Bunz Sports Pub & Grub, Original Pete’s, Sacramento Republic FC, Sacramento SPCA, SacTown Sports Bar, OnQFinancial, The Cripple Creek Band, Cliff Hughey, Amanda Gray, The Sacramento Kings, UFC, San Francisco 49ers and so many more who have been incredibly generous.
